seriously, i think a restraining order is very much needed here. total stalker.
The song is to his children, dumbass. He’s watching out for them, not stalking them.
It’s not at all about his kids. Its about his girlfriend who he’s breaking up with, and he can’t get over her so he just thinks about her all the time and will continue “watching” her. He wrote it while his marriage was breaking up. Get your facts straight before you start throwing “dumbass” around or you’ll end up looking like one.
So yeah, totally about stalking
I think I’ll still watch every leg you break… ’cause violence is entertaining.

Love this song, but yeah, it’s restraining order fodder.
Do I detect an Opus reference in the negative columns?
Opus & Bill ‘08!! Phhhhlllllbbbbbttttttt……..
Actually, Sting sometimes sings those as the lyrics in live shows if he’s feeling cheeky, I’m told. You can also hear them in the fade-out of his solo song “Love is the 7th Wave.” Why do I know that? I have no idea.
