THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I couldn’t agree more!! It’s all a bunch of crap now. If you want to see music videos, you have to watch late @ night or early in the morning. Same thing w/ vh1

  2. Danyell says:

This chart could be expressed more simply as crap v. music.

The worst part is that you’d have to actually *watch* MTV all the time to actually be able to make this/understand it. I assumed they stopped playing music in 1996.

  3. Ten Speed says:

Awesome chart. Perfectly explains MTV ca. 2007. Rob n Big was such a funny show IMO, and was pretty much the only thing worth watching on MTV.

  4. oldairplanes says:

This graph- it speaks the truth!

  5. Mot says:

I am assuming the sliver representing “real music” is an artifact of the margin of error in your analysis. As the margin closes, that sliver should approach zero. Also why so much “music” of any kind? Does background during the shows count? If not then I have trouble trusting these figures because THERE IS NO MUSIC ON MUSIC TELEVISION!

  6. Blue says:

    y-axis?
